One of those special dinner nights
It’s been a while since I’ve had a gastronomic experience. And the first in years without the “dinner club.” Tonight, the treat of my favorite gal, on the occassion of an extended birthday celebration was a dining experience at The Inn at Langley (Langley, Washington—Whitley Island). At the limited seating (40 ppl?) chef Matt Costello starts the evening with a casual introductory speech about the local foods—fresh, organic, communal—then leads on into the particulars of the evening's prix fixe menu. Each plate of the night’s 6 course meal is french-petit, but, in total was just enough to make me quite full (if not for that extra cookie!).
